The organisers of London pride have announced that Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst will headline this year’s London Pride Parade. This follows on from a performance by Wurst in Dublin’s iconic gay bar The George, the night before (June 27th).
The announcement came via London Pride’s official page, and was accompanied by a photo of Wurst. It has been announced she will play Trafalgar Square at 5.40pm on Saturday June 28th.
Other acts to play will include Heather Peace, Sinitta and Samantha Fox.
Wurst has become a worldwide sensation after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark earlier this year. The Austrian Drag artist made an inspiring call to action upon winning saying to the crowd that no one was going to “stop us.”
